Explore the Laurel Run Trail within this park located near Church Hill, TN. Learn about salamanders, arthropods, wildflowers, and tree identification on this science walk. Journey out to a beautiful waterfall for photos. A great hands-on learning experience for all ages.

Turtles in the wetlands

An easy walk along the confluence of Beaver Creek and Steele Creek within the park in Bristol, TN. We will search for reptiles. amphibians, wildflowers, and trees to identify. Learn about the wetland ecosystem and how organisms function there. A great hands-on learning experience for all ages.


Crystal springs recreation area (2 miles)

Loop trail

Journey around the 2 mile loop trail within crystal springs recreation area near Wytheville, VA. Search for salamanders, frogs, snakes, and arthropods along the creek and this trail. We will also talk about some of the common tree and plant life. Great hands-on learning experience.
