Hiking Difficulty- 1
This is a salamander specific tour. Take in three different locations near Whitetop Mountain for some of the most pristine and diverse salamander habitat of any place on Earth! Learn about these unique indicator species and the ecosystem that they live in. Led by herpetologist Justin Harris. Great for families of all ages. This tour is 2-3 hours and is offered from May 15- October 15 depending on temperatures.

Salamanders, Frogs, Snakes, Turtles & Insects abound on these nature hikes!! Perfect tour for kids of all ages. Learn about these unique creatures, their Biology and the very important roles they play in our ecosystem. Have a blast with friends and your kids searching for these little creatures and getting your hands a little dirty. These tours are led by our lead guide Justin who has studied herpetology for many years. This tour is 2 hours and is offered April-October depending on temperatures.
wildflower & trees tours

Journey to some of the prime locations in our area to see an abundance of wildflowers. Learn how to identify some of our common tree species in a mixed-hardwood deciduous forest. Wildflowers bloom from April-August depending on elevation. These tours are approximately 2-3 hours.
